EffortPilot provides fitness guidance, not medical advice. You remain responsible for choosing a safe effort and stopping if you feel unwell.
Agreement
By downloading or using EffortPilot, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Fitness and health safety
EffortPilot is designed to help you interpret a heart-rate signal during exercise. It is not a medical device, emergency service, diagnosis tool, or substitute for a qualified health professional.
- Consult an appropriate professional before beginning or changing an exercise program if you have a health concern, take relevant medication, are pregnant, or have been advised to limit exertion.
- Do not rely on EffortPilot to detect a medical condition or emergency.
- Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you experience chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, faintness, severe discomfort, or another concerning symptom.
- Sensor readings can be delayed, interrupted, or inaccurate. Always prioritize how you feel and your surroundings over an app cue.
Safe use
Use EffortPilot only when it is safe to view or hear your phone. Do not interact with the app while driving, cycling in traffic, operating equipment, or in another situation where distraction could cause harm. Follow facility rules and the instructions for your sensor and exercise equipment.
Free access and EffortPilot Pro
The free plan currently includes three introductory real-sensor sessions, followed by one complete real-sensor session per local day. Demo sessions are unlimited, and a real session shorter than one minute does not consume an allowance. We may adjust free access for future versions, but we will not shorten a workout that has already started solely to show a purchase screen.
EffortPilot Pro is planned as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The App Store displays the current local price before you confirm. Apple handles billing, refunds, family or account eligibility, and purchase restoration under its policies.
License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use EffortPilot on supported Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s usage rules. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app except where law expressly permits.
Third-party devices and services
Bluetooth sensors, Apple Health, the App Store, headphones, and other products are provided by their respective companies. Compatibility and availability can change. Mention of a device or brand does not imply sponsorship. WHOOP is a trademark of WHOOP, Inc.; EffortPilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by WHOOP, Inc.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of EffortPilot to improve safety, reliability, platform compatibility, or the product. We do not guarantee that every feature, sensor, or service will always be available.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EffortPilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, sensor accuracy, fitness results, or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The effective date above will change when an update is published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
